I'm a 32 yo married father of 2. Both girls 6 and 9. We live in a nice suburban neighborhood, have 2 cars and we own our own business. It sounds like we're living the dream....But we're not. Just like everyone else we're losing it all. Our house will soon be forclosed on, the cars shall be towed. The lights and gas are gone, the phone is on its way. The business dried up due to the economy goin down. I've taken responsibility for everything that has happened. I didn't plan enough, I didn't save, I should of read the contract for the mortgage. But this time I unfortuanely have to place blame. I have to yell at someone or something for not seeing the downturn. Not planning for it. How come we all got taken advantage of because we all had the dream of owning a home. A slice of the american dream.

I've read a lot of stories here, everyone has there own story to tell, the soldiers who are getting cheated, the single mothers who's employers let them go because they had to watch their children because daycare was so expensive. The hanicapped and retired whom don't recieve enough bebefits. all of us who have made bad decisions cause we based our lives on how good life was going.

I wish I could ask for help, everyone else out there needs it first. But I would like to ask everyone to understand that you can't blame yourselves anymore. I have for the longest time but after doing the math and understanding how big business and the feds work, I have come to the realization that we were all set up. The rich will get richer, by making the poor get poorer.

So, they'll come and buy my house at the forclosure for pennies on the dollar only to sale it again for a profit in a few years. They'll never think about who lived here before or how my kids call this home. The goverment says they care but they don't. They allowed this to happen in ways I can't begin to explain. trillions of dollars are feeding the pockets of elected officials off this crisis, they allowed the banks to cheat, and then with the banks they lied to us.

We tried to get help from the goverment due to new plans in place, but didn't qualify. We found out that 1 in 100 qualify. why? Because it's big business. You need equity in your home, the investors in govt programs still after everything want to make a buck. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer.

I've ranted long enough, but if you really want to know how much we're swallowing it's in the neighborhood of $300,000 in overall debt. The short term debt is around $12,000.

I hope everyone gets help, as for me and my family the burn from how it went down will never go away.
